Effects of PUFA-enriched diets on survival of vaccinia virus challenge. Mice were fed for 3 weeks with: a control Normal Diet (ND), High fat n-3 PUFA (HF n-3), Low fat n-3 PUFA (LF n-3), or High fat n-6 PUFA (HF n-6). Mice were intranasally infected with 10⁶ pfu vaccinia virus and maintained on the same diets throughout the experiment. Mice were sacrificed if they lost 20% body weight. Data are means ± SEM, n = 7–10 mice per diet. Differences were not statistically significant.
