Magnetic resonance imaging of the head and neck demonstrated a right parotid tail mass, measuring 3×3×3 cm. The mass was round, with well-defined contours, and was hypointense on T1 and T2 sequences and hyperintense on the T2-STIR sequence in the superficial portion of the right parotid gland (arrow).
