Table 1.

Vertical nutrient concentration gradients below the mixed layer and estimated vertical nutrient fluxes along the transect at 27°N in the Florida Straits. A range of flux estimates were calculated from the range of eddy diffusivities (k v) of 0.02–4.2 cm2 s−1 measured by Winkel et al.43 in the Florida Straits.
