Cytokine responses induced by β₁AR_Ac peptides. Lymph node cells (LNCs) were prepared from animals immunized with acetylated or non-acetylated β₁AR 171–190, β₁AR 181–200, or β₁AR 211–230, and after restimulating with or without the immunizing peptides or RNase 43–56/HEL 46–61 (negative controls), culture supernatants were harvested on day 3. Samples were analyzed for indicated cytokines by bead array analysis as described in the methods section. Each bar represents mean ± SEM values derived from four to five individual experiments, with three to eight mice per group.
