Acquisition of sequencing reads over time. The amount of time required to obtain 5,000 MinION reads was determined for all three sequencing runs performed. The KPNIH1 and ESBL-producing E. coli runs (red and blue lines) were significantly slower than the ESBL-producing K. pneumoniae run (green line) due to the older flow cell versions used. For the ESBL-producing K. pneumoniae isolate sequenced with the rapid 1D kit and the FLOW-MIN 105 (R9 SpotOn), 5,000 reads were obtained in as little as 19 min.
