Levels of DA, HVA, DOPAC, 5-HT, 5-HIAA and the HVA to DA ratio were measured in the striatum of α-syn overexpressing rats (n = 5). No significant differences were observed in the levels of any of the monoamines examined between hemispheres (p > 0.05). Values are mean ± SEM in ng/mg protein except in the case of HVA/DA since it is unitless.
