Probability of survival of all 28 patients after initial pulmonary metastasectomy. The 1-, 2-, and 5-year survival probabilities were 85.7, 67.9, and 46.2%, respectively. The survival curve appeared to reach a plateau at 40 months after metastasectomy which was used to define patients with low and high risk of disease progression. These 2 groups of patients were compared to identify parameters that could be used to select patients who would benefit most from metastasectomy.
