Effects of capric acid treatment on the production of the inflammatory cytokines (a) TNF-α and (b) IL-6 after cyclophosphamide treatment in IPEC-J2 cells. Concentrations of TNF-α and IL-6 in the cell supernatants were detected by ELISA. Mean cytokine concentrations from several independent experiments are presented (n = 3). Error bars indicate the standard error of the mean. A p-value of < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Lowercase letters (a,b,c) indicate significant differences between treatments based on Duncan multiple range tests.
