Chemical denaturation (red) and renaturation (green) curves for HEW lysozyme using GdnHCl as denaturant. For renaturation, protein was first dissolved in 20 mM bicine buffer (pH 9.0) containing 7 M GdnHCl and then diluted using buffer with varying amounts of denaturant to achieve the desired concentrations of GdnHCl.
