F. prausnitzii contributes to the effects of MET-1 on the excitability of DRG neurons. A, The individual strain F. prausnitzii (1:100) decreased excitability of DRG neurons by increasing rheobase compared with media; this effect was blocked following preincubation with FUT-175 (100 μm) (N = 5 mice).
