| Forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in one second ≥85% of predicted |
| No previous ipsilateral thoracic surgery |
| No active tobacco smoking |
| Social and ethical criteria |
| No significant mental disorders proved by a psychiatrist |
| No ethical issues or concerns about donor motivation |
