Western blot analysis of protein levels encoded by selected, significantly altered mRNAs (Table 2). Protein extracts were prepared from undifferentiated (U) and differentiated (D) HPV-negative NIKS and HPV16-positive NIKS16 and W12 cell populations. Much greater levels of involucrin (invol) were detected in the differentiated than in the undifferentiated cell populations, indicating that differentiation was achieved.
