Chitosan causes auxin accumulation in Arabidopsis roots. (A) Two hours exposition to liquid chitosan provoke changes in DR5:GUS localisation in primary roots exposed this polymer. Untreated plants shows DR5:GUS expression located in the meristematic zone and stem cell niche. Plants exposed to chitosan showed accumulation of DR5:GUS expression in the transition zone and meristematic zone. (Scale bar 50 µm).
