Experimental design for full-thickness wound repair using skin substitutes developed from nanofiber-enabled layer-by-layer (L-b-L) cell assembly. Human skin cells isolated from skin biopsy are assembled together with biomimetic nanofibers into 3D constructs and then form skin-like tissue upon further culture.
