Decreased SR Ca2+ content and increased SRCa2+ leak in VM from Akita mice are partially reversed in pravastatin treated Akitas. Cytosolic Ca2+ was determined in cells paced at 1 Hz for 20 sec followed by switching for 20 secs to 0 Na+ and 0 Ca2+ and 1mMol/L tetracaine to inhibit Na+ flux followed by 10mM caffeine.
