Overexpression of MEF2D activated the Akt/GSK-3β pathway in pancreatic cancer cells measured by western blot. A. The level of phosphorylated Akt and phosphorylated GSK-3β was significantly reduced after knockdown of MEF2D. Knockdown of MEF2D increased expression of markers of cell proliferation and invasion. B. Knockdown of MEF2D dramatically decreased the expression of cyclin D1, cyclin B1, MMP-2 and MMP-9.
