Table I. Quantification of flavonoids from fully expanded leaves from 4- to 5-week-old tomato plants.
Quantification of flavonoids is shown from fully expanded leaf tissue by LC-MS. Average values ± se are presented in pmol g−1 fresh weight. Samples were analyzed from three different biological replicates using three technical replicates on three different occasions, resulting in n = 18 for naringenin in VF36 and n = 27 for naringenin for are; kaempferol and quercetin have n = 27 for the wild type and are. Naringenin has n = 12 for AC and n = 16 for aw; kaempferol and quercetin have n = 24 for the wild type and aw. Asterisks indicate significant differences from the wild type as indicated by Student’s t test (***P < 0.001, **P < 0.01, and *P < 0.05).
Flavonoid | VF36 | are | Ratioa | AC | aw | Ratiob |

Quercetin | 54,931 ± 7,209 | 20,383 ± 2,371* | 0.37 ± 0.04 | 59,005 ± 8,109 | 84,264 ± 7,512 | 1.4 ± 0.1 |
Ratio represents the mutant are values divided by the wild-type values.
Ratio represents the mutant aw values divided by the wild-type values.
