The left panel shows representative images of wings for a subset of the vg and sd alleles used in this study that have been introgressed into the Samarkand (SAM) wild type genetic background. In the right column are representative images for the same alleles that have been introgressed into the Oregon-R (ORE) wild type genetic background. While we chose figures to be as representative as possible, it is worth noting that many alleles show a high degree of variability within (as well as between) genetic backgrounds.
