Histopathologic scoring of lung infiltration in challenged and vaccinated mice. Scoring of the lesion was determined as: absence of inflammatory infiltrate: zero; mild inflammatory infiltrate (until 25% of the lung): +; moderate inflammatory infiltrate (until 50% of the lung): ++; strong infiltrate (more than 50% of the lung): +++. Three different areas of the histopathological slides from each group were evaluated.
