Association between follow‐up care within 30 days of index hospital discharge and 3‐level statin adherence change after an acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Models were adjusted for sociodemographic characteristics, pre‐AMI adherence, baseline conditions and Charlson Comorbidity Index, concurrent use of other AMI secondary prevention medications, and events during the index hospitalization. See Table S4 for a full list of these variables and estimates. The 3‐level multinomial logistic regression compared a decrease in adherence with no change and compared an increase in adherence with no change. *Primary care physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner.
