Association between follow‐up care within 30 days of index hospital discharge and 5‐level statin adherence change after an acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Models were adjusted for sociodemographic characteristics, pre‐AMI adherence, baseline conditions and Charlson Comorbidity Index, concurrent use of other AMI secondary prevention medications, and events during the index hospitalization. See Table S5 for a full list of these variables and estimates. The 5‐level multinomial logistic regression model compared all four adherence change outcomes with the reference group of no change in adherence. *Primary care physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner.
