Experiment 3 results. (A) Point of subjective equality (PSE) plotted as a function of number magnitude in the cue and no-cue conditions for midline judgments. Overall, PSE significantly decreased with increases in number magnitude. (B) Overlapping psychometric functions for % right judgments in the cue and no-cue conditions. (C) Sequence effects for % right judgments as a function of previous sound location. In both conditions there was a significant negative association between the likelihood of a “percent right” judgment and location of the previous trial’s number. (D) Plot of reaction time vs. sound location. There was a significant distance effect in both the cue and no-cue conditions, shown by decreases in reaction time with greater distance from midline.
