Gingiva tissue was harvested after the mice were sacrificed and single-cell suspension were prepared and cultured in the presence of IL-2 (10,000 U/ml) for 7 days, after which supernatants were harvested and secretion of different cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors were determined using multiplex arrays.
