(A) The mRNA expression level of natriuretic peptide precursor B (Nppb) was significantly higher in MI+V than in sham, and was significantly lower in MI+SR than in MI+V (n = 4 animals in each group). The expression levels of (B) Il6, (C) Mcp1, (D) Ly6g, and (E) Cd11b were significantly increased in MI+V and were markedly decreased in MI+SR. (F) Matrix metallopeptidase (Mmp)9 was also significantly lower in MI-SR than in MI-V. (G) Plasma BNP concentration was also significantly higher in MI than in sham, and was significantly lower in MI+SR than in MI+V.
