Relaxation times. Monoexponential T₁ and biexponential ${\mathrm{T}}_{2l}^{⁎}$ and ${\mathrm{T}}_{2s}^{⁎}$ relaxation times used for ²³Na signal simulations for phantom (0%, 4%, and 8% agar) and brain (CSF, EC, and IC) compartments. Phantom relaxation times were determined using a relaxation time dictionary. Brain relaxation times were taken from the literature^{15,41–44,48}.
