The designated cells were induced to form hyphae in 10% serum as in Fig 1A at a density of 4 x 10⁶ cells/ml for either 60 (A) or 30 minutes (B). Cells were stained with nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) as described in Materials and Methods and subjected to light microscopy at a magnification of 100X.
