Measured NPS as a function of spatial frequency for five CT scanners. (a) Siemens Sensation 64, (b) Siemens Sensation 40, (c) Siemens Definition AS, (d) Philips Brilliance 64, and (e) GE Discovery STE. For each scanner, the peak frequency slightly shifted to the right as kernel strength changed from smooth to sharp reconstruction. The large shift in the peak frequency was found for the Edge kernel of the GE Discovery scanner (a PET/CT scanner).
