Figure 5.

Figure 5

(A) Percentage of cells in pre G0/G1 of LHCN-M2 cells after pretreatment with sumac extracts and addition of H2O2. Cells were pre-treated with 1 and 3 μg/mL of the EtOAc fraction, 1 μg/mL of CE, 1 μ g/mL of VitC for 48 h, and incubated with 75 μM of H2O2. The histogram shows the percentage of cells of the total population at pre G0-G1. Values are means of three independent experiments. The significance (∗∗∗p ≤ 0.001) of cells in pre G0/G1 in treated cells/ +H2O2 with respect to untreated cells/−H2O2. (B) EtOAc fraction of sumac restores human myoblast adhesion under oxidative stress conditions. Cells were pre-treated with 1 and 3 μg/mL of the EtOAc fraction, 1 μg/mL of CE, 1 μg/mL of VitC for XX hours, and incubated with 75 μM of H2O2. The results of count were expressed as the percentage of treated cells normalized to untreated control cells. The untreated cells and the solvent treated cells were used as a negative control. Mean values (% of control) with S.D. are indicated. This experiment was performed in duplicates and repeated three times. The significance (∗∗∗p < 0.001) of cell viability in treated cells/ +H2O2 with respect to untreated cells/−H2O2.
