(a) Western blot analysis was performed to detect the expression of E-cadherin and Vimentin in MDA-MB-231 cells transfected with miR-29b inhibitor and MCF-7 cells transfected with miR-29b mimics. (bc) An immunofluorescence assay was used to detect the expression level of E-cadherin and Vimentin in miR-29b inhibitor-transfected MDA-MB-231 cells or mimic-transfected MCF-7 cells. (d) The 5hmC level was detected in MDA-MB-231 cells transfected with miR-29b inhibitor and in MCF-7 cells transfected with miR-29b mimics. The immunofluorescence signal was quantified using densitometric scanning software, and the relative protein abundance was determined by normalization to the level of β-actin.
