Scheme of AD induction and melittin treatment. (a) The mice in the group without NC were intraperitoneally inoculated with OVA/alum on days 0, 7, and 14, and epicutaneously stimulated with OVA patch on days 14 and 28 for 1 week each. Melittin was injected intraperitoneally between the epicutaneous OVA stimulation procedures. (b) Mouse dorsal skin lesions of each group. NC: normal control; OVA/alum: ovalbumin and aluminum hydroxide. Mel: 100 μg kg⁻¹ melittin.
