USPIO enhance MRI scans. Myocardium without USPIO enhancement appears indistinct (left image, green arrow). In patients post CABG surgery, USPIO enhanced MRI appears bright globally (centre image, red arrow). In a patient with anterior myocardial infarction, USPIO enhanced MRI has intense intake in the anterior wall (right image, yellow arrow). In the right image the liver is visible which also has intense uptake of USPIO (white arrow)
