Effect of T6SS mutations in the competition of P. phymatum with other Paraburkholderia species in planta. The mixture containing 100 or 10⁵ cells of each of the four strains, P. diazotrophica, P. mimosarum, P. sabiae and Pphy::tssB-3 (A), Pphy::tssI-b (B) or P. phymatum LMG 21445^T wild-type (C) was inoculated on seedlings of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) and each nodule of the plants were harvested after 21 days and analyzed.
