SPR-based assays for binding of fabA to the FadR regulator. (A) SPR analysis of the E. coli FadR binding to the fabA promoter. (B) SPR assay for the V. alginolyticus FadR binding to the fabA promoter. SPR assays were conducted to study the affinity and kinetics of FadR proteins and a representative result is given regarding to EcFadR and ValFadR. FadR protein at various concentrations (typically 31.25–1,000 nM) were injected over the immobilized DNA probe covering the FadR palindrome of fabA gene. The immobilization level of fabA is 34 RU.
