Basal states of H3 histone acetylation correlate similarly at Lys-9, Lys-18, and Lys-27. ChIP analysis was carried out as before to determine the levels of H3 acetylated at (A) Lys-9, (B) Lys-18, and (C) Lys-27 at the 5′ ends of each of the three genes.
