Comparison of biological surrogate‐volume histogram indices in organs at risk for the 10 cases. Our new model RO(BS) can drastically reduce BS in all organs compared with RO. In comparing the results from RO(BS) and RO(BS0), consideration of varying linear energy transfer in different uncertainty scenarios can generally further decrease the BS index. The unit of Gy[LET] is used here to emphasize that the values reported here are not RBE doses, but rather biological surrogates, which only have LET information
