Movement of SprB was determined using anti-SprB antiserum and protein G-coated polystyrene spheres. The movement of 106, 89, and 103 spheres attached to different cells of strains CJ1827, CJ2386, and CJ2443, respectively, were examined. Spheres that moved along the cell surface a distance of greater than 3 μm were recorded at 5 s, 10 s, 15 s, and 20 s after the beginning of observation.
