Conductance of pili preparations from G. sulfurreducens strains expressing either the native wild-type gene (control), a synthetic pilin gene (Aro-5) designed to be poorly conductive (Vargas et al., 2013) or the pilin gene of F. sinusarabici, C. nitroreducens, D. alkaliphilus or Ca.
