RT-PCR amplification of β-myosin heavy chain (β-MHC). Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) upregulated expression level of β-MHC mRNA in neonatal rat ventricular myocytes (NRVMs), whereas Ginkgo biloba leaf extract (GBE50) and caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) reduced LPS-induced increase in expression level of β-MHC mRNA. 1, DNA marker; 2, control group; 3, LPS group; 4, LPS + GBE50 group; 5, LPS + CAPE group.
