Figure 2.

Characterization of BM-MSCs and AD-MSCs by flow cytometry. BM-MSCs and AD-MSCs were prepared from freshly harvested bone marrow and adipose tissues of a male Sprague-Dawley rat. The expression of specific surface markers was determined using flow cytometry. The expression of CD90, CD29 and CD45 was measured according to fluorescence intensity over respective isotype and unstained negative control Ig in (A) BM-MSCs and (B) AD-MSCs. BM-MSCs, bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells; AD-MSCs, adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells; CD, cluster of differentiation; Ig, immunoglobulin; FITC, fluorescein isothiocyanate; PE, phycoerythrin; APC, allophycocyanin.
