Effect of a high-fat diet and intermittent calorie restriction on tumor growth and cancer stem cells. (A) Protocol for intermittent calorie restriction (ICR) with control and high-fat diets. CT26 cells (1×107) were implanted into the scapular subcutaneous tissues of BALB/c mice. Mice were subjected to a 24-h fasting period once each week for 4 weeks.
