^a Parameters a and b were determined by non-linear least-squares fitting of ThT fluorescence data at 72 h to ThT − ThT_b = a[Aβ]₀ + b[Aβ]₀² (Equation 1), where [Aβ]₀ is the total Aβ concentration in μm and [Aβ_agg] = [Aβ]₀ at 72 h. ThT_b was determined by averaging three sample wells containing ThT but no Aβ and was found to be 520 ± 40. Error estimates are 95% confidence intervals.
