Table 3.

Mean Pain Intensity Scores and Functional Status Ratings

Day Pain Intensity Functional Status

Mean (95% CI) Mean (95% CI)
Baseline 6.2 (5.2, 7.3) 11.3 (8.8, 13.9)
7 5.4 (4.2, 6.6) 9.4 (7.3, 11.5)
45 2.3 (1.6, 3.0) 3.3 (2.2, 4.4)
LT-FU 2.0 (0.9, 3.0)

Note–Pain intensity was measured using the visual analog scale, and functional status was quantified using the Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire adapted for phantom limb pain. LT-FU assessment occurred at a mean of 194 d ± 99 (approximately 6.5 months) after the procedure. Functional status was not assessed at LT-FU assessment.

CI = confidence interval; LT-FU = long-term follow-up.
