(A) The body weight values of all the rats in each group every week. (B) The weekly food intake of all the rats. Diabetic rats showed weight loss and increased food intake compared with non-diabetic rats. Rats received metformin showed relatively less body weight . (p < 0.05 vs. Group (D–/M–), p < 0.05 vs. Group (D–/M+), §p < 0.05 vs. Group (D–/M–)). Data were presented as mean ± SD. Comparison of two group means was made with the t-test, a difference of p < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
