Expression of osteoclast marker enzymes was reduced by resveratrol (RES). To evaluate osteoclast activity, the mRNA expression of osteoclast marker enzymes (MMP-9, TRAP and cathepsin K) was assessed using RT-PCR. In the presence of RES, the effects of the stimulation of mRNA expression of osteoclast marker enzymes by H2O2 were greatly abolished. Results are presented as the mean ± SD. *P<0.05 and **P<0.01 vs. the control group; #P<0.05, ##P<0.01 vs. the H2O2 group.
