DLSμR captures the multiscale viscoelasticity of soft matter, including polymeric gels and precious biological materials, such as DNA solutions, intestinal mucus, and extracellular matrices. DLSμR reveals signatures of molecular relaxations that occur over 7 decades in time, ranging from 10 s down to 10–6 s, which spans the time scales associated with reptation of polymers in entangled networks, entropic elasticity of cross-linked or entangled gels, and internal relaxations of individual polymer chains.
