The first plot indicates the borderline significant eca-miR-215 followed by the boxplot for eca-miR-140-3p which clearly indicates that the signal for that miRNA is predominantly driven by one extreme outlier individual. After the exclusion of that outlier, eca-miR-140-3p did not show significant differential expression anymore (last plot; adjusted p = 0.106).
