OSS-activation of Smad2 is regulated by TβRII and TβRI in ECs plated on FN and LM, respectively. ECs plated on FN (a and b) or LM (c and d) were transfected with control siRNA (siCL) or specific siRNA (30 nM each) of TβRI (siTβRI) and TβRII (siTβRII) for 48 h. The cells were kept under static conditions (C) or subjected to OSS (0.5 ± 4 dyn/cm2) for 1 h (a and c) or 24 h (b and d). The phosphorylation of Smad2 and expressions of TβRI and TβRII were determined by using Western blot analysis.
