Radiation events detected from signals reaching the tissue surface are plotted as a function of wavelength (Cerenkov optical) or energy and are in units of events detected / decay / MeV or events detected / decay / nm. Sets of curves are variations of the energy spectra over the 0 – 5 mm depth range. Dashed curves on each plot are decays events originating in the background whereas solid curves are from decay events occurring in the tumor.
