XN (0.4 mg/kg) treatment preserves a- and b-wave amplitudes 4 weeks following toxic light exposure. Representative ERG waveforms of one eye of a single mouse from each treatment group. Mice treated with vehicle and exposed to 50,000 lux for 6 hours show the most diminished a- and b-wave amplitudes. Treatment with XN protected against the loss of a- and b-wave amplitudes. The ERG flash intensity was 24.9 cd-s/m2 and was the same for all four mice.
