All experimental steers had free access to water and a mineral block during the entire experiment. Total mixed ration consisted of commercial corn based concentrate (48.5%), barley brewer’s grain (25.5%), rice straw silage (13.4%), perilla meal (6.7%), corn flake (2.8%), soybean curd process (2.8%), and limestone (0.3%).
